A Bit About Me​

Arlene Irwin is a Speech Arts and Drama instructor, adjudicator, and performer with over forty years of experience in voice and musical theatre. She holds Associate and Licentiate diplomas in Speech Arts and Drama from Trinity College London, along with an Associate Teacher’s diploma from the Royal Conservatory of Music.

As the founder of Erinara Drama School, Arlene works with students of all ages, helping them develop confidence, expressive freedom, and strong technical foundations in speech, drama, and performance. She also teaches on the Speech Arts faculty at the Mount Royal University Conservatory, where she has built a flourishing studio and guided many students to examination and festival success.

Arlene is currently undertaking advanced study in the Michael Chekhov Performance Technique and is working toward full teacher certification. This work deeply informs her teaching, blending imagination, discipline, and artistry in a way that awakens vitality and authenticity in her students.

Whether working online or in person, Arlene believes that drama is more than performance — it is a powerful pathway to presence, confidence, and creative joy.
